All Ireland Programming Olympiad

Registration and preliminary round submissions for the All Ireland Programming Olympiad (A Tech Week Partner activity) close at midnight on the 18th of February, with the National Finals being held this coming Saturday, 21st of February.

Deadline reminder for the National Scratch Competition

Registration for the National Scratch competition closes on Friday, 27th of February 2015, so if you have a project you’re working on please submit it as soon as possible.

Register for the National Scratch Competition!

Preparations for the 2015 National Scratch Competition are well underway and looks like it’ll be bigger and better than ever!

Would-be participants can register their projects online at scratch.ics.ie for the 2015 competition with entries to be submitted by February 27th 2015. The finals will be held in Dublin Castle during Tech Week, April 26th – May 2nd 2015.

In operation since 2010, the National Scratch Competition has established itself among both teachers and students as a leading platform and showcase for Ireland’s aspiring digital creators.

Entrant numbers have risen steadily, with 960 team projects submitted by participants during the 2013-2014 Competition.

A total of 25 projects progressed to the National Finals in Dublin Castle during Tech Week 2014, with Shane Fanning from St. Conleth’s Community College, Newbridge being declared the overall winner of the 2014 National Scratch Competition.
